Description: Almost every workplace location has some form of electrical hazard. In this half-day course, the fundamentals of electricity, terms and concepts are reviewed. A variety of key topics are discussed including fault protection, extension and lead cords, working with electrical devices under various conditions. Demonstrations include inspection and testing of electrical outlets, lines, connections and appliances, proper grounding systems, function of GFCI systems and case histories of electrical accidents.
